Retargeting Campaign

Retargeting is a type of digital advertising that enables marketers to create highly targeted ad campaigns that reach their desired audience across the internet. By utilizing retargeting technology on association websites, marketers capture a prequalified audience to turn association members and supporters into customers of their own.

Provide your campaign budget and your ads will run until contracted impressions are met on NEA’s website. Submitting all materials as recommended will provide the highest placement rate and allow the system to best optimize your ad campaign for performance. Keep the message simple and the text as large and easy-to-read as possible.

PackagesIMPRESSIONSRATEs

Required Display Ad Assets:

Display banners for both desktop and mobile in all of these sizes:

  • 300×250
  • 300×600
  • 160×600
  • Click-through URL
  • 320×50
  • 300×50
  • 728×90

Recommended Ad Formats:

  • JPG or PNG (Static Image)
  • GIF (Animated – Max. 15 seconds of looping)

There is a minimum of 40,000 impressions/month.

Geofencing

Geofencing is the most targeted and effective way to reach an audience that has visited a very specific location at a specific time. For conferences, we start collecting user data on the first day of the show. As users enter the geofenced area their mobile id is collected and we can immediately start to serve your marketing message to this audience. We continue to deliver ads during the conference for an effective “at market” campaign and then target these same users for a week (or more) after the event.

By offering hyper-targeted location-based ads, you will capture the attention of attendees at the conference, in their hotels, and even back at their offices and homes after the show.

Device ID or “Lookback” Geofencing

This option allows you to capture attendees from the event location and serve them ads after the event. It’s a great way to keep your brand top of mind with this targeted audience.

  • 40,000 minimum impressions per campaign
  • $40 CPM for Display Ads, $65 CPM for Video Ads
  • One set of creative supplied

Microproximity PLUS Device ID or “Lookback” Geofencing

This option allows you to serve ads to attendees both during and after the event. While attendees are at the event, your ad may highlight a session you are speaking at, a special offsite event you are hosting, or simply direct them to your booth. After the event, you may change your creative to a broader message about your brand.

  • 80,000 minimum impressions per campaign
  • $40 CPM for Display Ads, $65 CPM for Video Ads
  • Two sets of creative may be supplied

Submit all sizes for maximum reach. This is a mobile-heavy campaign, so the 300 x 250 and 320 x 50 will deliver the most impressions. Make the text on your ad as large and easy to read as possible. Consider using an animated GIF with multiple frames for the 320×50 so the text can be large and spread across multiple frames.

Display banners for both desktop and mobile in the following sizes (JPEG or GIF plus the click-through URL)

  • 728 x 90 pixels
  • 300 x 250 pixels
  • 300 x 600 pixels
  • 160 x 600 pixels
  • 320 x 50 pixels

ESPs work in U.S. public schools

Education Support Professionals (ESPs) play an essential role in supporting students, educators, and the day-to-day operations of public schools in communities across the country. NEA represents more than 420,000 ESPs, within a broader national workforce of nearly 3 million ESPs working in public education.

The ESP workforce reflects the communities it serves. The majority are women, and people of color are strongly represented across ESP roles. Most ESPs also live in the same communities where they work, creating strong local ties and a deep understanding of the needs of students and families.

Together, Education Support Professionals represent a large, engaged audience working inside school systems every day. They are closely connected to their peers, districts, and communities, and play an important role in how information, resources, and opportunities are shared across the education environment.

National K-12 ESP Industry Breakdown

School support staff, also known as Education Support Professionals (ESPs), strengthen our schools, communities, and associations across the country. They play a vital role on the education team and in students’ lives inside and outside the classroom. They keep our schools running and our students safe, healthy, and ready to learn every day.

NEA works with ESPs to create learning opportunities and supports for them to elevate their professional excellence throughout their careers. Today, more than 2.2 million ESPs work in our nation’s public schools and colleges, making up one third of the public education workforce. Of these, approximately a half million are NEA members.

Policies, Terms & Conditions

NEA Today is published and nea.org exists for and on behalf of the NEA membership. The Association reserves the right to unilaterally reject, omit, or cancel advertising that it deems to be not in the best interest of the NEA or that, by its tone, content, or appearance, is not in keeping with the essential nature of nea.org.

The National Education Association believes that personnel policies and practices must guarantee that no person be employed, retained, paid, dismissed, suspended, demoted, transferred, or retired because of race, color, national origin, religious beliefs, residence, physical disability, political activities, professional association activity, age, size, marital status, family relationship, gender, or sexual orientation, and will not knowingly permit its website, as ad media, to be used by others in support of discriminatory practices.

To this end, the following policy was adopted by the NEA Representative Assembly:

“All businesses and organizations that choose to advertise their services and products in NEA publications shall agree to practice NEA policies of nondiscrimination.” The Association reserves the right to refuse advertising submitted for the purpose of airing sides of controversial, ethical, or professional issues.

Advertising contracts received are subject to the conditions of our current rate card. Advertising rates are subject to change with sixty (60) days’ notice. The advertiser and/or advertising agency are jointly responsible for payment of all advertising placed in any NEA publication. The forwarding of an insertion order or space contract shall be construed as an acceptance of all rates and conditions set forth in this rate card.

All advertising is subject to the approval of the publisher, who reserves the right to exclude advertising that does not meet the publication’s standards and to reject or omit any advertising for any reason at any time without liability, even if the advertising was previously acknowledged or accepted. The publisher also reserves the right to insert the word “advertisement” above or below any copy.

The advertiser and its agency, if applicable, agree to indemnify and hold harmless the publisher against all loss, liability, damage, and expense arising out of the copying, printing, or publishing of its advertisement, except when such issues are directly or proximately caused by the publisher’s negligence, willful misconduct, failure to comply with applicable law, or breach of this agreement.

If, for any reason, NEA Today fails to meet its circulation rate base, the advertiser or advertising agency shall be entitled to an adjustment of the advertising rate equal to the percentage of circulation not delivered.

Position stipulations on insertion orders (with the exception of covers) will be regarded as requests only, unless guaranteed in writing by the publisher. The publisher is not liable for rebates or reruns related to clip-out coupons.

All orders are accepted subject to acts of God, fires, strikes, accidents, or other occurrences beyond the publisher’s control that prevent the publisher from partially or completely producing, publishing, or distributing any NEA publication. Advertising material is destroyed one year after publication unless otherwise instructed.
